Victor Valdes Transfer News: Latest Rumours, Speculation on Manchester United GK
Manager Louis van Gaal left nobody in any doubt as to why he left goalkeeper Victor Valdes off Manchester United's US tour, all but confirming the veteran's exit from Old Trafford.
However, the former Barcelona No. 1 used social media to hit back at Van Gaal's claims of a lack of respect.

Valdes Questions Van Gaal Criticism After Boss Slams Player's Attitude
Thursday, July 16
The United goalkeeper was accused by Van Gaal of refusing to play for the reserves, so Valdes issued the following response on Twitter:
".....? #respect pic.twitter.com/LSnwz1HfDB
— Victor Valdes (@1victorvaldes) July 16, 2015"
Valdes' tweet highlights a selection of U21 matches he participated in last season.
Only hours earlier, Van Gaal laid bare his issue with Valdes, per Chris Davie of Goal.com:
"Valdes is not selected [for the tour] because he doesn't follow my philosophy. The philosophy is how you play football and how you maintain your match rhythm."
He refused last year to play in the second team. There are a lot of other aspects in the philosophy how you have to play like a goalkeeper at Manchester United. When you are not willing [to apply] the principles of that philosophy there is only one way, and that is out.
"
Valdes, 33, arrived in England from Barcelona last season. A knee injury kept him sidelined for most of the first half of the campaign, and he was pegged as David de Gea's backup upon his return. Valdes made just two league appearances, a far cry from being a stalwart at Barcelona.
The Spaniard is under contract through the 2015-16 season. Kris Voakes of Goal.com noted Valdes' agent has been trying to facilitate a season loan to La Liga side Valencia, which would allow him to return home and have a full-time starting job. Valencia are without Diego Alves as he recovers from a knee injury suffered earlier this year.
Either way, it's looking increasingly likely we're headed for an ugly divorce in a relationship that barely got off the ground at Old Trafford.
