Draymond Green Rips Alperen Sengun for Saying Warriors Were 'Crying' in NBA Playoffs
After Houston Rockets star Alperen Şengün suggested that the Golden State Warriors were "crying" during their first-round playoff matchup, Draymond Green called him out.
"That's a tough thing to say after you lose… You have to win to [say] stuff like that," Green wrote on Threads.
During a recent appearance on the Socrates Dergi show, Şengün said the Warriors complained about fouls despite not being called for them.

"They're a very experienced team, and they fouled a lot," Şengün. "In the playoffs, they don't call it. But they were the ones crying all series about fouls not being called."
The first-round series between the Rockets and Warriors was one of the best matchups of the playoffs. Houston took the experienced squad to seven games, but ultimately didn't have enough to advance to the second round.
The Rockets, known for their gritty defensive approach, embraced how chippy the series was.
"If it gets chippy, we've seen over the last two years that's worked in our favor for the most part, gets us amped up," head coach Ime Udoka told reporters after Game 2. "But when you have a lead, [and you're] up 20, and things start to happen, you understand why. That's kind of the last resort by teams. You've got to keep your composure at that point and just stay calm."
The first-round exit was no fault of Şengün, as he led the team in points (20.9), rebounds (11.9), assists (5.3) and steals (1.9) in his first-ever playoff series.
While the Warriors got the best of Houston last season, the Rockets are a team on the rise and should be a Finals contender thanks to the addition of Kevin Durant. If the two squads meet again this postseason, Şengün could get the last laugh over Green.
