Adrian Mannarino def. Tommy Haas, Edouard Roger-Vasselin

Adrian Mannarino and Tommy Haas had to finish up their first-round match after it was suspended on Tuesday evening because of darkness after they split their first two sets, with each one ending in a 7-6 scoreline.

After dropping the first set 6-7, Mannarino managed to save all three break points in the second set as he was able to flip the script on Haas with a 7-6 win.

Going into the third set on Wednesday, Mannarino took advantage of Haas' self-inflicted mistakes. Haas committed four double-faults as he was only able to convert 50 percent of his first serves.

He could have used more solid first serves. Of the 11 he was able to get in play, Haas won 10 of them. While Mannarino was not as dominant on the serve, he kept his mistakes to a minimum, committing just one double-fault.

Mannarino had to rest up quickly for his second-round match later on Wednesday against Edouard Roger-Vasselin. It looked like his marathon day was going to end badly after dropping the first set 1-6.

But Mannarino rebounded well, taking the next two sets 6-3, 6-2 to book his place in the quarterfinals. He was able to win four of seven break points while dominating his first service play, winning 29 of 39 opportunities.

Jan Hernych def. Alejandro Falla

It could not get much closer than Wednesday's second-round match between Jan Hernych and Alejandro Falla. Each of the three sets played needed a tiebreaker in what proved to be longest tilt of the day, lasting 2:49:53.

Hernych took the first set with a 7-5 tiebreaking win. He saved two of three break points while Falla saved three of four. Falla took the second set with an 8-6 win in the tiebreak before Hernych closed out the match with a 9-7 tiebreaker win.

The Tennis Hall of Fame caught a look at Hernych's winner:

Falla had a tough time trying to handle Hernych's serve, which recorded seven aces on the afternoon. But when Falla did return the serve, he was able to limit Hernych's first-service win percentage at 63 percent compared to his 73 percent.

Hernych will be getting some rest, as he is not on the slate for Thursday's matches. The Hall of Fame Tennis Championships continues with five matches from Center Court with three from the singles division and two from the doubles.
