Stephen Curry, Zion Interested in Playing in CrawsOver Pro-Am, Jamal Crawford Says
Jamal Crawford could have a handful of NBA stars in his pro-am league next summer.
Per the Seattle Times' Sean Quinton, Crawford said Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson have expressed interest in participating in CrawsOver, the pro-am league Crawford hosts in the Seattle area.
Crawford hasn't hosted CrawsOver since 2023, but plans to bring the event back next summer. In the past, the league has welcomed current and former NBA players from the Seattle area, including Dejounte Murray, Paolo Banchero, Zach LaVine, Isaiah Thomas, Nate Robinson and more.
Having Curry and Williamson in the event could inspire more NBA players to get involved.
“It shows that, you know, the pro-am and Seattle basketball is not only on the map, but, you know, the best in the world are checking in for it,” Crawford said, per Quinton.
Crawford was one of the most entertaining players in the league during his time in the NBA, displaying memorable ankle breakers and circus shots. He was also a three-time Sixth Man of the Year.
Now retired, Crawford is upholding the longstanding tradition of Seattle being one of the premier basketball cities in the country.
