LSU, Clemson and the Most Bet CFB Win Totals for 2025 Season Based on Latest Odds

Scott PolacekAug 6, 2025

College football bettors believe in the Tigers.

From both LSU and Clemson.

B/R Betting relayed the top-five most bet college football win totals by money for the 2025 season based on DraftKings Sportsbook over/unders, and LSU and Clemson are among the teams on the list:

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: DEC 27 Kinder's Texas Bowl LSU vs Houston
  • LSU over 8.5
  • Clemson over 9.5
  • Illinois over 7.5
  • Nebraska over 7.5
  • Missouri over 7.5

Clemson winning more than 9.5 games has been a safe bet in recent years.

The Tigers won 10 games and the ACC title last season, which marked the 13th time in 14 seasons the program won double-digit games. While it lost in the first round of the College Football Playoff and wasn't quite up to the standard of past Clemson teams, it still surpassed the 9.5 mark.

As for LSU, it has won double-digit games in two of the last three seasons and enters the 2025 campaign with high expectations in large part because Garrett Nussmeier returned.

Yet one of the Tigers teams will be working from behind when it comes to their win total since they face each other in a highly anticipated season opener on Aug. 30. With challenging conference slates awaiting, the winner of that game will be in a much better position to reach their over for the season.

Elsewhere, Illinois over 7.5 might be the most promising bet on that list.

After all, the Fighting Illini went 10-3 last season and capped things off with a Citrus Bowl win over the SEC's South Carolina. They could be a darkhorse CFP candidate and will be well-positioned to win at least eight games.

If they can defeat Western Illinois, Duke, Western Michigan, Purdue, Rutgers and Northwestern, that would mean needing to go just 2-4 in games against Indiana, USC, Ohio State, Washington, Maryland and Wisconsin to reach the over for the season.

Based on the betting numbers shared Wednesday, there would be a lot of people happy to see that.
