Benjamin is a 5-star prospect listed as the No. 4 safety and No. 35 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class, per 247Sports' Composite rankings.

He chose Oregon over Michigan and Texas. Benjamin also received offers from schools such as BYU, Georgia, LSU, North Carolina, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Tennessee, UCLA and Washington.

Benjamin explained why the Ducks' future plans for him affected his final decision during his recruitment.

“Just kept it real,” Benjamin said, via On3.com's Max Torres. “Kept it real ever since they recruited me. Really just think about the big picture. How they’re gonna use me down the road.”

He stood out during his 2024 season at Oaks Christian High School in California by amassing 45 tackles, five tackles for loss, six interceptions and two forced fumbles (h/t 247Sports' Greg Biggins). Benjamin also caught 34 passes for 404 yards and two touchdowns on offense.

He's the 17th commit in Oregon's 2026 recruiting class, representing the school's fifth 5-star prospect.
