Burrow has developed a reputation for his unique fashion sense. He made waves last summer when he showed up to Bengals training camp with platinum highlights in his hair. He told Sports Illustrated's Nick Remsen that he isn't committed to a singular aesthetic, as he bases his looks on how he feels on a given day.

"My sense of style varies day-to-day," Burrow said. "I wake up, feel the color and find the fit that matches what I’m looking for."

Burrow's style earned him some notoriety in the fashion world. His appearance at the Met Gala in May drew praise from one of the most influential figures in the industry.

"Joe always looks great," Anna Wintour, the chief content officer of Condé Nast and global editorial director of Vogue, said. "He has tons of confidence and is up for trying new things—that seems natural to who he is. It was wonderful to see him at the Met Gala this year in Gucci. Blue suited him."

The 28-year-old explained that his stylish approach dates back to his childhood, as his mother, Robin, was a fashion buyer during his early youth. She still sends him fashion ideas and occasionally gifts clothing or accessories on special occasions.

"My mom was in fashion when I was little," Burrow said. "So I was around it. I was always pretty particular about what I wore, like when we’d be school shopping. I didn’t know anything, I just liked how the clothes felt and looked. I struggled [with confidence] when I was little. I was pretty uncomfortable in my own skin, and I think I was quiet and socially awkward, so I did express myself with colors and clothes."
