5-Star TE Kaiden Prothro Commits to Georgia over Texas, Florida
Five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro of the class of 2026 has committed to Georgia over Texas and Florida, as told to Hayes Fawcett for Rivals.
Prothro is ranked 25th overall and third among tight ends on the 247Sports Composite class of 2026 list.
The 6'6", 210-pound Prothro attends Bowdon High School (Georgia). He received a great scouting report on June 6 from 247Sports' Hudson Standish, who wrote the following in part:
"Red zone cheat code hovering around 6-foot-6, 210 pounds with the combine testing profile of an outside receiver. Put together one of the more productive receiving seasons in the 2026 recruiting cycle as a junior, averaging 21.5 yards per catch and converting 22 of his 56 catches into touchdowns. Utilizes ideal hand-eye coordination and body control to make acrobatic grabs climbing the ladder."
Other scouting services also rank Prothro highly in the class of 2026, including Rivals (36th overall), On3 (No. 29) and ESPN (No. 19). He's second among tight ends on all three lists.
With Prothro's commitment, the Bulldogs now rank second overall on 247Sports' class of 2026 rankings behind only USC. The UGA class includes seven top-100 recruits, including 5-star quarterback Jared Curtis.
