Per Front Office Sports, schools can receive royalties based on how often they are utilized in College Football 26, and Delaware's contest could go a long way toward compelling gamers to choose them in dynasty mode.
Delaware is one of two teams new to the FBS and the college football video game scene, along with the Missouri State Bears.
From 1997 until last season, Delaware played at the FCS level. The Blue Hens won the Division I-AA national title in 2003 and went on to make seven additional playoff appearances.
Head coach Ryan Carty led Delaware to a 26-11 record with two playoff appearances over the past three seasons, and he is looking to make a smooth transition to FBS as part of Conference USA.
Instant success at the FBS level won't be an easy task for Delaware, but those who pull it off in College Football could win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enjoy a Blue Hens football game in style.
