Alabama's Ryan Williams Dominates Travis Hunter in CFB 26 Live Stream Showdown
Fans got an early taste of the excitement surrounding College Football 26 on Monday, as Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter and Alabama freshman Ryan Williams squared off in a special preview showdown.
Now in its second edition since returning from an 11-season hiatus—thanks to NIL deals that allow EA Sports to feature and pay real college athletes—the game offered one of its first in-depth looks through the lens of two of football’s brightest young stars.
Williams suited up in Alabama’s iconic crimson, while Hunter rolled with Colorado’s sleek black and gold. But from the start, it was all Williams. He jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first half before the game slapped Hunter with a delay-of-game penalty—twice—ultimately awarding Williams the technical win and kicking Hunter out.
After the restart, things still didn’t go Hunter’s way. Williams raced out to a dominant 28-0 lead in the first quarter alone. To rub it in, a graphic appeared on screen noting that Hunter was having a “tough game,” and that his “opponent was above his skill level.” Brutal—but the two kept going, laughing through the lopsided fun.
Hunter eventually got on the board with a touchdown and two-point conversion, but Williams continued his dominance, and the two wrapped it up at halftime with the score sitting at 49-8.
Despite the lopsided result, both players looked like they were having a blast—laughing, competing, and hyping up the new game.
College Football 26 officially hits shelves on July 10, with early access beginning July 7.
