Texas' Arch Manning is Most Heavily Bet Player to Win 2025 Heisman Trophy, Latest Odds

Scott PolacekJul 7, 2025

The betting public loves Texas quarterback Arch Manning.

DraftKings Sportsbook shared an update on early 2025 Heisman Trophy betting on Monday, and 35 percent of the overall bets and 20 percent of the handle are going toward the Longhorns signal-caller:

Given the amount of people betting on him and Manning's overall place under the spotlight as the quarterback of a major program and the nephew of NFL legends Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, it comes as no surprise he is also the favorite.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook as of 5 p.m. ET, Manning checks in with +650 odds (bet $100 to win $650). He is followed by LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier at +850, Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik at +950, Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith at +1,100 and Penn State quarterback Drew Allar at +1,600.

South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers and Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin are also listed at +1,600.

While Colorado cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter took home the award last season, the Heisman Trophy is still typically a quarterback race in modern-day college football. Hunter was also a special case as someone who played and thrived so often on both sides of the ball.

Even with his win last year, 20 of the 25 Heisman winners since 2000 have played quarterback with Hunter, DeVonta Smith, Derrick Henry, Mark Ingram and Reggie Bush as the exceptions.

Las Vegas surely knows that and has priced the odds accordingly, as Jeremiah Smith is the only non-quarterback with better odds than Alabama's Ryan Williams at +3,500. Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love isn't far behind Williams at +4,000.

That Smith is so high doesn't come as much of a surprise, as he led the Buckeyes to the College Football Playoff national championship as a true freshman with 76 catches for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns.

If he can build on those numbers and Ohio State is once again in the national title race, he will surely get some Heisman love.

And he will have an opportunity to make a Heisman statement right out of the gates against Manning in a high-profile showdown in the season opener between Ohio State and Texas. It is a rematch of last season's CFP semifinals, only Manning will be under center this time instead of Quinn Ewers.

There is no shortage of hype already for Manning as the Heisman Trophy favorite despite limited playing time in his collegiate career. But that hype will only skyrocket if he can lead the Longhorns to a road win over Smith and the reigning champions.
