As Colorado head coach Deion Sanders continues his recovery from a recent health scare, he received a visit from rap icon Lil Wayne.
"Thank You My Brother (Lil Wayne) for coming to visit me & making sure I’m straight (Lil Twist)... Love y’all man!" Sanders wrote alongside a video posted to social media.

Sanders has been battling an unspecified health issue since it was first reported in early June, with no clear timetable for his return. ESPN’s Heather Dinich first reported that the Hall of Famer had been “ill and out of office recently,” as he was notably absent from the team’s annual summer football camps.
"He'll tell y'all soon enough what he's going through, what he went through," Deion Jr. stated, according to USA Today (h/t Dinich). "When we get back to Boulder, I don't know. I'm waiting until my dad leaves. When he leaves, then I'll go. Until then, I'm going to sit here with him."
The 57-year-old Colorado Buffaloes head coach is slated to make his first public appearance since April on July 9 in Frisco, Texas, at the annual Big 12 Conference media days.
Former NFL cornerback Adam Jones, who recently joined Sanders on a fishing trip, shared a promising update:
“Deion’s doing good,” Jones said in an interview he posted to social media. “I think he got another week at home before they get started. He’ll be there. He’ll be ready to go.”
“Thanks to everybody that has been praying and sending good thoughts and prayers his way,” Jones added.
