Zach BacharJul 4, 2025

5-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo committed to Texas Tech on Friday, according to On3.com's Hayes Fawcett.

Ojo's agent, Derrick Shelby, told ESPN his client received a fully guaranteed three-year, $5.1 million contract from the Red Raiders.

Ojo is listed as the No. 2 offensive tackle and No. 7 overall prospect in the country as part of the 2026 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings.

He received offers from schools including Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Penn State before choosing to join Texas Tech.

Ojo will be the Red Raiders' first 5-star commit since wide receiver Micah Hudson in 2024.

He visited Texas Tech's campus in April and came away impressed with the team's facilities, as well as general manager James Blanchard, head coach Joey McGuire and running backs coach Garret McGuire.

"The visit went great overall and my favorite part was seeing the facilities and touring campus," Ojo said, via 247Sports' Jarret Johnson. "The training room and how top tier it is (was my favorite part), and I talked with Blanchard, both McGuire's and they made it known I was a priority and felt confident they could take me and make me into a first-round pick."

He'll become the 18th member of the Red Raiders' 2026 recruiting class, joining fellow offensive linemen Jacob Crow and Jerald Mays.

Ojo has been dominant throughout his tenure at Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield, Texas. He was listed at 6'6" and 272 pounds to go along with a 81.5" wingspan following his junior season (h/t 247Sports' Gabe Brooks).

Now, he'll be joining a Red Raiders squad that has won at least seven games in each of their three seasons under McGuire.

Texas Tech compiled a record of 8-5 in 2024 that included a 6-3 finish against Big 12 opponents, marking the school's best record against conference foes since 2008.
