Oregon landed a commitment from one of the top prospects in the class of 2026 on Thursday.

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, 5-star offensive lineman Immanuel Iheancacho announced his commitment to the Ducks. 247Sports' composite ranks him as the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the 2026 class. He chose Oregon over offers from LSU, Penn State, Auburn, Alabama and more.

"I feel like, after being on all these campuses, Oregon really just felt right," Iheanacho said of his decision to choose the Ducks. "They had a lot of great people on those campuses, but I feel like Oregon had the best people, like-minded people. The opportunity for me to play early was huge there."

In addition to being the No. 1 interior lineman, 247Sports' composite ranks Iheanacho as the No. 8 overall player in the nation. During his 2024 season at Georgetown Preparatory School in Baltimore, he was named a MaxPreps Junior All-American after not allowing a sack for the entire year. He helped the program earn its fifth Interstate Athletic Conference title in six years.

247Sports scouting analyst Gabe Brooks described Iheanacho as an "elite offensive line prospect who can likely play tackle in college and perhaps beyond, but could also become a rare guard candidate." He's a two-sport athlete who also plays basketball, and his ability on the court "reveals a nimble post presence with crafty touch around the rim, reflects in functional athleticism and foot quickness."

Iheanacho also praised the Oregon coaching staff and highlighted Washington Commanders rookie Josh Conerly Jr. being selected with the No. 29 pick in this year's draft as a key reason why he's willing to travel across the country for his college football career.

"They just had Josh Conerly in the first round, so that's pretty big," Iheanacho told McAfee. "Going all the way there is gonna be pretty tough, but I just know that it's gonna be worth it in the end."
