Since 2011, the NFL has released an annual list of the 100 best players in the league as voted on by the players.

In the past, the list was revealed incrementally with weekly NFL Top 100 episodes on NFL Network, but the league decided to change things up a bit for the 2025 list.

Now, two players will be revealed as part of the list daily on X, NFL+ and NFL.com until Sept. 1, when the top 10 players in the 2025 NFL Top 100 are announced on NFL Network.

McConkey, 23, is set to enter his second NFL season after the Chargers selected him with the No. 34 overall pick in the second round of the 2024 draft.

He was tasked with replacing two long-tenured and highly productive receivers in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams as quarterback Justin Herbert's top target, and McConkey was up to the task as a rookie.

Starting 14 of the 16 games he played in last season, McConkey led the Bolts with 82 receptions for 1,149 yards. He was second on the team with seven touchdown catches.

McConkey's quick acclimation to the league was a big reason why the Chargers went 11-6 and reached the playoffs in Jim Harbaugh's first season as head coach.

While McConkey is new to the NFL scene, Williams is a 31-year-old veteran preparing for his 11th season.

Originally the No. 6 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft by the New York Jets, Williams later spent time with the New York Giants before finding a home with Seahawks in 2023.

Williams is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, as he recorded 64 tackles and a career-high 16 tackles for loss. He also had 11 sacks, which was just a half-sack shy of matching his career high.

After signing a three-year, $64.5 million contract extension with the Seahawks in March 2024, he proved during the 2024 season that he was worth every bit of it.

Last year, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was No. 1 on the NFL Top 100 list, marking the first time a wideout had ever earned that distinction.

Hill was a sensible choice given that he was coming off back-to-back seasons with 119 receptions and over 1,700 receiving yards in his first two years with the Dolphins.

That impressive streak came to an end last season, though, when Hill finished with just 81 catches for 959 yards and six touchdowns. That was largely due to a combination of Hill nursing a wrist injury for much of the season and starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missing six games due to injury as well.

There will almost certainly be a new No. 1 choice on the NFL Top 100 list this year. Past No. 1 selections such as Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes are in the running for the spot.

The reigning NFL MVP in Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year in Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and Cincinnati Bengals superstar wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase are strong candidates as well.
