College Football 26 Drops 'Gameplay First Look' Trailer with Alabama vs. Tennessee

Gamers got another in-depth look at the gameplay for EA Sports' College Football 26 ahead of the game's release on July 10.

The developers dropped a new video on Monday, which showcased Alabama and Tennessee. Crimson Tide wide receiver Ryan Williams went up against popular streamer Bordeaux.

EA Sports already provided a deep dive into the gameplay enhancements for CFB 26.

The developers didn't rest on their laurels after College Football 25 received critical acclaim and massive commercial success. They listened to fan feedback, adding or tweaking a number of subtle aspects about last year's game.

Dynamic substitutions and additional options for changing personnel on the fly will make it easier to manage your team as a game unfolds. Along with that, the "Wear and Tear" system will be more responsive to specific types of contact and weather conditions.

Playbooks and play packages will have a higher level of individuality. More than 2,800 new plays and 45 formations are included in College Football 26. That allows for each school to feel closer to the real thing.

Playing on offense figures to be a tougher challenge in CFB 26. Shorter quarterbacks will have a lower accuracy rate, and QB abilities will be more in line with their individual ratings. There won't be quite the same flattening effect where quarterbacks with worse ratings will be pretty much the same as the elite at the position.

The developers also focused on making defenses a little better across the board. Games are unlikely to be the wide-open shootouts they felt like when playing CFB 25.

The gameplay trailer offered a peek at what this all looks like in reality.

Monday's update gave a clearer picture into the College Football 26 experience from game to game. Of course, nothing will top the hands-on experience of playing CFB 26 for yourself when it his stores in July.
