2025 NBA Draft Scouting Report for Brooklyn Nets No. 26 Pick Ben Saraf
The Brooklyn Nets have selected Ben Saraf with the No. 26 pick in the 2025 NBA draft.
Saraf arrives with one of the most polished offensive skill sets among international guards in this class.
The 6'5" Israeli playmaker was named MVP of the 2024 FIBA U18 European Championship and earned the Israeli League Premier Rising Star award after averaging double figures as a teenager.
Saraf also gained valuable pro experience with Ratiopharm Ulm in Germanyโs BBL, showing scoring touch, on-ball creativity and the versatility to play either guard spot. His pace and feel stood out against older competition.
Of course, thereโs still growth ahead. Saraf will need to tighten his decision-making and show he can handle more physical defenders.
But the blend of size, vision and scoring instincts gives him a real chance to develop into a long-term NBA guard.
Saraf ranks No. 21 on B/R NBA draft expert Jonathan Wasserman's 2025 Prospect Big Board.

Realistic Pro Comparison: Manu Ginobili
1 of 3
Saraf visually resembles former San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili as a lefty with playmaking flare, crafty finishes and tough shotmaking.
The 19-year-old has to become a better three-point shooter to truly live up to this comparison, but he's still capable and highly creative with the ball.
The big question is whether he's an effective enough decision-maker to be a lead point guard, or if he'll be better used as a bench spark.
Strengths
2 of 3
Ball-Handling: It can look exhausting trying to contain Saraf, who's constantly changing direction and speed. He's relentless at getting to his spots.
Playmaking: Saraf's playmaking feels like the most translatable aspect of his game. He's creative in pick-and-rolls with obvious passing skill and vision, and if the decision-making can improve, this part of his overall package will be especially highlighted.
Tough Shots: Despite underwhelming mechanics and perimeter percentages, Saraf can hit tough jumpers, particularly in the mid-range. He's also capable of converting difficult finishes from below the rim.
Weaknesses
3 of 3
Physical Tools/Athleticism: Scouts question whether Saraf will be able to blow by or separate against NBA defenders. He lacks explosiveness off the bounce and around the basket.
Decision-Making: He's too turnover prone. Saraf tends to try to do too much with the ball. NBA point guards can get away with this when they're ultra-productive in other areas. But early in his career, he'll earn more reps and be given more leeway if he avoids sloppy plays.
Range: Saraf hasn't put up strong three-point numbers in terms of either efficiency or volume. He gets little elevation off the floor, and it looks like his form may need some tweaking.
