2025 NBA Draft Scouting Report for San Antonio Spurs No. 14 Pick Carter Bryant
The San Antonio Spurs have selected Carter Bryant with the No. 14 pick in the 2025 NBA draft.
A McDonald's All-American and Jordan Brand Classic selection in 2024, Bryant entered college with pedigree and ideal wing tools.
The 19-year-old passes the eye test with his 6'7" frame and 6'11¾" wingspan, which ranked 26th overall at the combine and 15th among non-centers.
He has an appealing shooting stroke that flashes real versatility, whether spotting up or pulling up off movement, even if his shooting sample size is small.
Defensively, Bryant's mobility and length allow him to switch onto wings and create chaos in ball screens.
However, he didn't show much creation ability at Arizona, operating mostly off the ball. His scoring arsenal is limited, and his feel for the game can come and go.
Still, he checks the boxes of a modern 3-and-D wing and comes with a relatively high floor. If the handle tightens and the shot selection sharpens, there's upside beyond the role.
Bryant ranks No. 18 on B/R NBA draft expert Jonathan Wasserman's 2025 Prospect Big Board.

Realistic Pro Comparison: Marcus Morris
1 of 3
Bryant doesn't project as a lead scorer. It's easier to project him along the lines of an off-ball shotmaking wing like Marcus Morris, who can also guard both forward positions.
If Bryant adds a post game and pull-up to his repertoire, he could enjoy a long, productive career by embracing a role like Morris enjoys.
Strengths
2 of 3
Physical Tools/Athleticism: Bryant possesses textbook size, length and strength for a wing to go with exciting athletic pop and quick feet.
Shotmaking: His shooting stroke will make teams look past the percentages. He has confident range and the fluidity to knock down jumpers in various ways.
Defensive Upside: Teams will be extra drawn to Bryant's tools and mobility for defensive purposes. He can be difficult for wings to get clean shots off, or he can jump out and cause panic and turnovers in ball-screen situations.
Weaknesses
3 of 3
Creation: Bryant played mostly a spot-up role at Arizona. He hasn't shown much of a handle, and it can be difficult for him to score if he's not making threes.
Offensive Versatility: He's not going to score in too many ways, and he doesn't project to offer much playmaking. This could ultimately limit his ceiling if he can't add to his bag of tricks.
Decision-Making: Bryant could frustrate by settling for jumpers or simply blending into the background. He could improve his feel and ability to read game situations.
