Anthony Richardson Will Be Ready for Colts Training Camp Amid Shoulder Injury Rehab
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson says he will be ready for training camp after missing minicamp earlier this month with a right shoulder injury, according to 247Sports' Zach Goodall.
"I'm all good... not really even a bump in the road," Richardson said, per Goodall. "I feel like I tripped, I fell. Just got back up and hit the ground running again."
Colts head coach Shane Steichen said on June 10 that Richardson would miss the entirety of minicamp after aggravating the AC joint in his right shoulder, per Colts.com's JJ Stankevitz.

Steichen said at the time there was "no timetable" on Richardson's return.
"We're going to do his rehab, and once the doctors clear him to throw we'll ease him back into it," Steichen said.
Richardson underwent surgery on his right shoulder in October 2023 after suffering a Grade 3 AC joint sprain in Week 5 of his rookie season.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said ahead of minicamp on SportsCenter that Richardson was suffering from "some inflammation" in that same shoulder after throwing "hundreds of footballs a day" in offseason workouts.
"I'm told, structurally, this is okay. It's just an inflammation and rest, soreness-type issue," Fowler said at the time.
The Colts will now hope holding Richardson out through minicamp will give the quarterback enough time to fully recover by the time veterans report to training camp on July 22.
Richardson will meanwhile need to be as ready as possible for the start of training camp, not only for his long-term health but in order to compete to retain his starting job in 2025.
The Colts brought in former New York Giants starter Daniel Jones as competition under center this offseason, and Jones got a head start in the race by taking the entirety of first-team reps during Richardson's absence from minicamp.
