Elite 11 Finals 2025 Results, Texas Commit Dia Bell Wins MVP Award

Scott PolacekJun 19, 2025

The quarterback position is in good hands for the Texas Longhorns.

While the college football world eagerly awaits Arch Manning to take over as the full-time starter during the upcoming season after Quinn Ewers' departure to the NFL, the long-term future looks bright as well, considering Texas commit Dia Bell took home a coveted award Thursday.

Bell was named the MVP of the 2025 Elite 11 high school quarterback competition:

The Longhorns commit is a 5-star prospect and the No. 3 quarterback of the 2026 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings. He shined the brightest from a group of some of the most promising signal-callers in the country.

But it was anything but easy.

After all, Houston commit Keisean Henderson gave him quite the run for his money throughout the three-day competition. Henderson, who is a 5-star prospect and the No. 4 quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class, was listed as the top performer in the official Day 2 rankings:

Notably, he and Bell traded in the first two spots throughout the three days:

Ultimately, Bell was the best player on the field in the third and final day, which proved to be the difference.

He showed off his arm with multiple impressive throws through tight windows, which is surely exactly what Longhorns fans wanted to see:

Andrew Ivins of 247Sports praised Bell's calmness in the pocket, pointing out he "isn't one to flinch in the face of pressure as he uses his above-average athleticism to extend plays and get out of trouble."

Ivins also highlighted how his "smooth stroke and cleaner mechanics allow him to layer the football to the second level and exploit tight coverage windows."

That was on full display during the Elite 11 competition, which further underscored that the future is bright for the Longhorns.
