The Inter Miami superstar provided another moment of brilliance in a career full of them on Thursday, scoring on a superb free kick that was ultimately the deciding goal in his team's 2-1 win over Porto at the Club World Cup.

It was Samu Aghehowa who opened the scoring with an eighth-minute penalty for Porto.

The second half belonged to Inter Miami, however, as Telasco Segovia buried the equalizing goal in the 47th minute after a fantastic build-up from the MLS side before Messi provided his usual brilliance seven minutes later.

It was a massive result from Inter Miami, who disappointed in their first match at the Club World Cup in a scoreless draw against Egypt's Al-Ahly. Coming into the event, Porto was the prohibitive favorite to win Group A but now has a draw against Brazil's Palmeiras and a loss to the MLS' Inter Miami.

Porto will need not only need a convincing win over Al-Ahly to have any chance of advancing now, they will also need Inter Miami and Palmeiras to not draw. Inter Miami, meanwhile, is guaranteed a spot in the knockout phase with a draw on Monday, thanks in large part to the latest moment of inspiration from the greatest to ever do it.
