The latest MLB mock draft from ESPN's Kiley McDaniel dropped on Wednesday, and it runs through the first 41 picks.

Los Angeles Dodgers (No. 40 and 41 overall): Quentin Young, SS, Oaks Christian HS (CA) and Patrick Forbes, RHP, Louisville

New York Mets (No. 38 overall): Devin Taylor, LF, Indiana

Boston Red Sox (No. 33 overall): Luke Stevenson, C, North Carolina

Chicago Cubs (No. 17 overall): Wehiwa Aloy, SS, Arkansas

The 21-year-old Middleton enjoyed a breakout season for Southern Miss, going 10-1 with a 2.31 ERA (0.85 WHIP) over 16 starts while striking out 122 batters over 105.1 innings.

"Middleton has a lot of interest from a late-first to an early second-round pick as a power arm with starter feel and gaudy numbers this spring," McDaniel wrote.

"He's similar as a prospect to two top picks in last year's draft, college righties Ben Hess and Bryce Cunningham."

The Dodgers have the 40th and 41st overall picks. For the first, they're connected with 6'6" high school shortstop Quentin Young, who is the nephew of former MLB outfielders Dmitri and Delmon Young. McDaniel said Young has "plus-plus raw power that might be 80-grade one day."

At No. 41, the pick is Louisville right-hander Patrick Forbes, who went 4-2 with a 4.42 ERA (1.30 WHIP) over 15 starts last season. Forbes, who turns 21 on July 11, struck out 117 batters over 71.1 innings.

The Mets were slated to pick 21-year-old Indiana outfielder Devin Taylor, a 6'1", 215-pound prospect. Taylor is a monster at the dish, hitting 54 home runs over three seasons with the Hoosiers. He notably had 18 home runs, 66 RBI, a .374 batting average and 1.200 OPS in 55 games this past season.

At No. 33 overall in the mock, the Red Sox are taking UNC catcher Luke Stevenson, who turns 21 on July 22. At 6'1" and 210 pounds, Stevenson has a powerful bat, hitting 19 homers to go along with 58 RBI and a .965 OPS. He hit 33 home runs overall over two seasons at UNC.

Arkansas shortstop Wehiwa Aloy went 17th overall to the Chicago Cubs. The former Sacramento State standout, who stands at 6'2" and 200 pounds, transferred to Arkansas in 2024 and has been raking ever since. The 21-year-old is currently starring for Arkansas in its College World Series run, hitting 21 home runs alongside 68 RBI for a .352 batting average and 1.120 OPS in 64 games.
