Phillies, Dodgers Rise in Updated MLB Farm System Rankings for All 30 Teams

Joel ReuterJun 18, 2025

After updating our Top 100 prospects list last week, it's time for a similar reshuffling of our leaguewide MLB farm system rankings.

A tier system was used to help differentiate the varying levels of individual talent in each organization:

Tier 1: A player who checks in No. 1-25 on B/R's Top 100 prospects list. This is the cream of the prospect crop and players who are viewed as potential future superstars.

Tier 2: A player who checks in No. 26-50 on B/R's Top 100 prospects list. These are potential All-Star-level talents, but might not be fully untouchable in trade talks.

Tier 3: A player who checks in No. 51-100 on B/R's Top 100 prospects list. These names might have recently broken out, are still in the lower levels of the minors or are former Tier 1 or Tier 2 prospects whose stock is down.

Tier 4: A player who appears on the "Next 100" list in B/R's Top 100 prospects article. These players are Nos. 101-200 among prospects in no particular order, with the potential to climb the rankings in the near future.

Tier 5: Everyone else. Organizational depth, one-tool standouts, Quad-A guys, teenagers with an extremely limited track record in the lowest levels of the minors, you get the idea.

This has been tweaked from years past when all Top 100 prospects were classified in the same tier. There's too big of a difference between the No. 1 and No. 100 prospects for that group not to be broken down further.

Note: A player must not have surpassed the rookie-eligibility limits (130 at-bats, 50 innings pitched, 45 days on an active roster) to be included in these rankings.

30. San Francisco Giants

1 of 30
Spring Breakout - Texas Rangers v San Francisco Giants
Bo Davidson

Top 10 Prospects

1. 1B Bryce Eldridge (Tier 1)
2. LHP Carson Whisenhunt (Tier 4)
3. SS Josuar De Jesus Gonzalez (Tier 4)
4. OF Dakota Jordan (Tier 5)
5. SS Jhonny Level (Tier 5)
6. OF Bo Davidson (Tier 5)
7. LHP Joe Whitman (Tier 5)
8. RHP Trevor McDonald (Tier 5)
9. SS Diego Velazquez (Tier 5)
10. RHP Trent Harris (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: OF Bo Davidson and RHP Trent Harris

Davidson ($50,000) and Harris ($10,000) were both signed as undrafted free agents shortly after the 2023 draft concluded, and now they both rank among the top 10 prospects in the Giants system. The former is hitting .301/.406/.500 in 53 games at High-A to open the year, while the latter is already pitching at Triple-A where he has racked up 30 strikeouts in 20 innings over 17 appearances out of the bullpen.

29. Baltimore Orioles

2 of 30
Baltimore Orioles v Toronto Blue Jays
Dylan Beavers

Top 10 Prospects

1. C Samuel Basallo (Tier 1)
2. OF Enrique Bradfield Jr. (Tier 4)
3. OF Dylan Beavers (Tier 4)
4. RHP Michael Forret (Tier 4)
5. RHP Trey Gibson (Tier 4)
6. OF Jud Fabian (Tier 5)
7. RHP Chayce McDermott (Tier 5)
8. OF Vance Honeycutt (Tier 5)
9. RHP Braxton Bragg (Tier 5)
10. OF Stiven Martinez (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: OF Dylan Beavers

Beavers was the No. 33 overall pick in the 2022 draft, but he was overshadowed early in his pro career playing in a loaded Orioles system. The 23-year-old now stands as one of the best young bats still rising the minor league ranks in Baltimore. And with a .304/.396/.450 line, 16 extra-base hits and 17 steals in 53 games at Triple-A, he is making a case for his first call-up.

28. Texas Rangers

3 of 30
Texas Rangers v. San Francisco Giants
David Davalillo

Top 10 Prospects

1. SS Sebastian Walcott (Tier 1)
2. C Malcolm Moore (Tier 4)
3. OF Alejandro Osuna (Tier 4)
4. RHP Winston Santos (Tier 4)
5. RHP David Davalillo (Tier 4)
6. LHP Kohl Drake (Tier 5)
7. OF Dylan Dreiling (Tier 5)
8. SS Yolfran Castillo (Tier 5)
9. RHP Alejandro Rosario (Tier 5)
10. RHP Emiliano Teodo (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP David Davalillo

While the 2024 standout trio of Santos, Rosario and Teodo has been beset by a combination of injuries and poor performance, Davalillo continues to impress. After leading all qualified pitchers in full-season ball with a 1.95 ERA over 161.1 innings last year, the 22-year-old sports a 2.12 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 68 strikeouts in 51 innings at High-A.

Nelson Rada

Top 10 Prospects

1. 2B Christian Moore (Tier 3)
2. RHP Caden Dana (Tier 4)
3. RHP George Klassen (Tier 4)
4. LHP Samuel Aldegheri (Tier 4)
5. SS Joswa Lugo (Tier 4)
6. OF Nelson Rada (Tier 4)
7. RHP Ryan Johnson (Tier 5)
8. RHP Chris Cortez (Tier 5)
9. SS Denzer Guzman (Tier 5)
10. OF Matthew Lugo (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: OF Nelson Rada

Rada spent his entire age-18 campaign at Double-A, and he is hitting .294 with a .402 on-base percentage and 27 steals in 61 games back at that level to open the 2025 season. However, with just nine extra-base hits and a .336 slugging percentage over 254 plate appearances, questions remain whether he will make enough of an impact at the plate.

26. New York Yankees

5 of 30
New York Yankees v. Baltimore Orioles
Bryce Cunningham

Top 10 Prospects

1. SS George Lombard Jr. (Tier 2)
2. RHP Bryce Cunningham (Tier 4)
3. RHP Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz (Tier 4)
4. RHP Cam Schlittler (Tier 4)
5. RHP Carlos Lagrange (Tier 4)
6. OF Spencer Jones (Tier 4)
7. RHP Ben Hess (Tier 5)
8. C/1B Rafael Flores (Tier 5)
9. LHP Brock Selvidge (Tier 5)
10. SS Roderick Arias (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP Bryce Cunningham

Cunningham showed enough upside during his junior season at Vanderbilt to go No. 53 overall in last year's draft, posting a 4.36 ERA with 96 strikeouts in 84.2 innings. The Yankees sent him to High-A for his pro debut, and he has a 1.93 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 47 strikeouts in 46.2 innings.

25. San Diego Padres

Boston Bateman

Top 10 Prospects

1. SS Leo De Vries (Tier 1)
2. C Ethan Salas (Tier 2)
3. LHP Kash Mayfield (Tier 4)
4. LHP Boston Bateman (Tier 4)
5. RHP Humberto Cruz (Tier 5)
6. 3B Kale Fountain (Tier 5)
7. RHP Braden Nett (Tier 5)
8. RHP Henry Baez (Tier 5)
9. SS Cobb Hightower (Tier 5)
10. Ryan Bergert (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: LHP Boston Bateman

A towering 6'8", 240-pound left-hander, Bateman was the seventh high school pitcher selected in the 2024 draft, going No. 52 overall in the second round. With a 3.72 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and a 48-to-16 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 46 innings at Single-A, he has quickly established himself as one of the top arms in a thinned-out Padres system.

24. Atlanta Braves

7 of 30
Spring Breakout - Detroit Tigers v Atlanta Braves
Didier Fuentes

Top 10 Prospects

1. LHP Cam Caminiti (Tier 3)
2. RHP JR Ritchie (Tier 3)
3. RHP Didier Fuentes (Tier 4)
4. SS Nacho Alvarez Jr. (Tier 4)
5. RHP Hurston Waldrep (Tier 4)
6. RHP Owen Murphy (Tier 4)
7. RHP Luke Sinnard (Tier 5)
8. RHP Lucas Braun (Tier 5)
9. RHP Garrett Baumann (Tier 5)
10. RHP Drue Hackenberg (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP Didier Fuentes

Fuentes is not often mentioned among the game's top pitching prospects, but the fact that he is already pitching at Triple-A when he just turned 20 on Tuesday speaks to his advanced feel on the mound. He still needs to prove he can handle a starter's workload given his undersized 6'0", 170-pound frame, but he is miles ahead of the usual developmental curve.

23. Toronto Blue Jays

8 of 30
Spring Breakout - Minnesota Twins v Toronto Blue Jays
Khal Stephen

Top 10 Prospects

1. SS Arjun Nimmala (Tier 3)
2. RHP Trey Yesavage (Tier 3)
3. RHP Khal Stephen (Tier 4)
4. LHP Ricky Tiedemann (Tier 4)
5. LHP Johnny King (Tier 4)
6. RHP Juaron Watts-Brown (Tier 4)
7. SS Josh Kasevich (Tier 5)
8. RHP Landen Maroudis (Tier 5)
9. LHP Kendry Rojas (Tier 5)
10. 2B Orelvis Martínez (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP Khal Stephen

Stephen took a major step forward after transferring from Purdue to Mississippi State for his junior season last spring, going 8-3 with a 3.28 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 107 strikeouts in 96 innings. The Blue Jays called his name in the second round, and he has a 2.10 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 75 strikeouts in 64.1 innings between Single-A and High-A to kick off his pro career.

22. Houston Astros

1. RHP Miguel Ullola (Tier 3)
2. 2B Brice Matthews (Tier 3)
3. OF Jacob Melton (Tier 3)
4. C Walker Janek (Tier 4)
5. RHP Anderson Brito (Tier 5)
6. OF Joseph Sullivan (Tier 5)
7. RHP Jose Fleury (Tier 5)
8. RHP Ryan Forcucci (Tier 5)
9. RHP A.J. Blubaugh (Tier 5)
10. OF Kelvin Alvarez (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP Jose Fleury

An under-the-radar international signing emerging as a top pitching prospect in the Astros system is nothing new, and Fleury is the latest to exceed expectations after signing for just $10,000 in 2021. The 23-year-old has a 2.18 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 34 strikeouts in 33 innings at Double-A, and he has piled up 310 punchouts in 241 innings throughout his time in the minors.

21. Kansas City Royals

10 of 30
Spring Breakout - Kansas City Royals v Arizona Diamondbacks
Yandel Ricardo

Top 10 Prospects

1. 1B/OF Jac Caglianone (Tier 1)
2. C Blake Mitchell (Tier 3)
3. LHP Noah Cameron (Tier 3)
4. C Carter Jensen (Tier 4)
5. LHP David Shields (Tier 4)
6. RHP Drew Beam (Tier 5)
7. SS Yandel Ricardo (Tier 5)
8. RHP Ben Kudrna (Tier 5)
9. RHP Blake Wolters (Tier 5)
10. OF Asbel Gonzalez (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: SS Yandel Ricardo

The Royals gave Ricardo a $2.4 million bonus as one of the top prospects in the 2024 international class, then watched him hit a lackluster .213/.330/.366 over 196 plate appearances in the Dominican Summer League. The 18-year-old is off to a much better start in his stateside rookie ball debut, hitting .315/.424/.481 with 11 extra-base hits and 16 steals in 30 games.

20. Colorado Rockies

11 of 30
Spring Breakout - Arizona Diamondbacks v Colorado Rockies
Sean Sullivan

Top 10 Prospects

1. 1B Charlie Condon (Tier 2)
2. OF Cole Carrigg (Tier 3)
3. SS Ryan Ritter (Tier 3)
4. OF Yanquiel Fernandez (Tier 4)
5. RHP Brody Brecht (Tier 4)
6. OF Robert Calaz (Tier 4)
7. LHP Sean Sullivan (Tier 5)
8. OF Jared Thomas (Tier 5)
9. RHP Gabriel Hughes (Tier 5)
10. 3B Kyle Karros (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: LHP Sean Sullivan

Despite a sub-90 mph fastball, Sullivan posted a 2.11 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 125 strikeouts in 115.1 innings between High-A and Double-A last season, and he has continued to impress across six Double-A starts this year with a 2.48 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 32.2 innings. Advanced command, a quality changeup and deceptive mechanics could make him the rare MLB starter without a plus fastball.

19. Washington Nationals

Luke Dickerson

Top 10 Prospects

1. RHP Travis Sykora (Tier 2)
2. RHP Jarlin Susana (Tier 3)

4. LHP Alex Clemmey (Tier 4)
5. SS Seaver King (Tier 4)
6. OF Daylen Lile (Tier 4)
7. SS Luke Dickerson (Tier 4)
8. C Caleb Lomavita (Tier 5)
9. OF Robert Hassell III (Tier 5)
10. RHP Cade Cavalli (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: SS Luke Dickerson

Dickerson was of nine high school shortstops taken in the first two rounds of the 2024 draft, and he received the fourth-largest bonus of the group, inking a $3.8 million deal to forego a commitment to Virginia. He played just six games in rookie ball before earning a quick promotion to Single-A, and he is hitting .244/.356/.407 with 10 extra-base hits in 25 games.

18. New York Mets

Spring Breakout - New York Mets v Washington Nationals
Jonah Tong

Top 10 Prospects

1. SS Jett Williams (Tier 2)
2. RHP Jonah Tong (Tier 3)

4. RHP Brandon Sproat (Tier 4)
5. OF Carson Benge (Tier 4)
6. 1B Ryan Clifford (Tier 4)
7. OF A.J. Ewing (Tier 4)
8. SS Jesus Baez (Tier 5)
9. SS Elian Peña (Tier 5)
10. 3B Jacob Reimer (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP Jonah Tong

Tong is shaping up to be one of the biggest steals of the 2022 draft after he was selected from the Canadian high school ranks in the seventh round with the No. 209 overall pick. After racking up 160 strikeouts in 113 innings last year, he has a 1.97 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 96 punchouts in 59.1 innings at Double-A to open the 2025 campaign.

7. OF Luis Cova (Tier 5)
8. RHP Kevin Defrank (Tier 5)
9. OF Kemp Alderman (Tier 5)
10. RHP Liomar Martinez (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: C Joe Mack

Mack was the third catcher selected in the 2021 draft, behind Henry Davis (No. 1 overall) and Henry Ford (No. 12 overall), and he could turn out to be the best of the bunch. After posting an .807 OPS with 30 doubles, 24 home runs and 78 RBI in 125 games last year, he hit .318/.464/.614 over 56 plate appearances at Double-A to earn a quick promotion to Triple-A. His big league debut should come at some point in 2025.

16. Arizona Diamondbacks

8. RHP Cristian Mena (Tier 5)
9. OF Druw Jones (Tier 5)
10. SS Jansel Luis (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: OF Slade Caldwell and OF Ryan Waldschmidt

The D-backs selected Caldwell (No. 29 overall) and Waldschmidt (No. 31 overall) at the top of their 2024 draft haul, and both were newcomers to the Top 100 prospect list in our June update. The former hit .294/.460/.454 in 48 games at Single-A before he was bumped up to High-A, while the latter has an .875 OPS with 11 doubles, nine home runs, 39 RBI and eight steals in 62 games at High-A.

6. IF Thomas Saggese (Tier 4)
7. C Rainiel Rodriguez (Tier 4)
8. RHP Michael McGreevy (Tier 5)
9. C Jimmy Crooks (Tier 5)
10. RHP Chen-Wei Lin (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP Tekoah Roby

Roby was acquired in the 2023 deadline deal that sent Jordan Montgomery to the Rangers, but his prospect stock took a hit last year when he struggled to a 6.57 ERA in 38.1 innings while battling a shoulder issue. The 23-year-old opened the 2025 season with a 2.49 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 57 strikeouts in 47 innings at Double-A, and he made his Triple-A debut on June 11.

7. SS Wyatt Sanford (Tier 5)
8. 2B Nick Yorke (Tier 5)
9. RHP Wilber Dotel (Tier 5)
10. IF/OF Mitch Jebb (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: SS Konnor Griffin

The No. 9 overall pick in last year's draft, Griffin has quickly backed up the hype by hitting .346/.405/.564 with 14 doubles, 11 home runs, 44 RBI and 32 steals in 56 games between Single-A and High-A to kick off his pro career. He jumped from No. 72 on the B/R preseason Top 100 prospect list to No. 19 in our June update, and he could end the 2025 season as a consensus top-10 prospect in baseball.

1. 1B Nick Kurtz (Tier 1)

7. 2B Max Muncy (Tier 4)
8. OF Henry Bolte (Tier 5)
9. OF Denzel Clarke (Tier 5)
10. C Daniel Susac (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: LHP Gage Jump

One of the top prep pitchers in the 2021 draft, Jump opted to honor his commitment to UCLA where he pitched just 16.1 innings in two years before transferring to LSU. The A's took him in the second round last year after he posted a 3.47 ERA with 101 strikeouts in 83 innings, and he has been the breakout pitching prospect of 2025. The 22-year-old has a 1.65 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 83-to-13 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 65.1 innings between High-A and Double-A.

8. IF James Triantos (Tier 4)
9. SS Cristian Hernández (Tier 5)
10. SS Juan Tomas (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP Jaxon Wiggins

With Cade Horton just a few more MLB starts from officially exhausting his prospect status, Wiggins will soon be the top pitching prospect in the Cubs organization. The 2023 second-round pick has a 1.92 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 70 strikeouts in 56.1 innings between High-A and Double-A, and he has trimmed his walk rate from 14.2 to 10.3 percent to help erase some questions about his command.

7. SS Edwin Arroyo (Tier 4)
8. SS Tyson Lewis (Tier 5)
9. SS Sammy Stafura (Tier 5)
10. OF Héctor Rodríguez (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: SS Tyson Lewis

With average-or-better tools across the board, Lewis has the potential to quickly play his way onto leaguewide Top 100 prospect lists after landing an above-slot $3.05 million bonus in the second round of the 2024 draft. He is hitting .341/.387/.447 in 93 plate appearances in rookie ball to start his pro career, and a promotion to Single-A should be forthcoming in the near future.

10. Cleveland Guardians

Top 10 Prospects

1. 2B Travis Bazzana (Tier 1)

7. RHP Braylon Doughty (Tier 4)
8. SS Welbyn Francisca (Tier 5)
9. 1B Ralphy Velazquez (Tier 5)
10. IF Juan Brito (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP Braylon Doughty

One of only four high school pitchers selected in the first round of the 2024 draft, Doughty was taken No. 36 overall behind only Cam Caminiti (No. 24) and Kash Mayfield (No. 25) from that demographic. His 4.76 ERA and 1.48 WHIP don't jump off the page, but he has 52 strikeouts in 45.1 innings. The Guardians are also one of the best organizations in baseball at developing high-end pitching talent.

8. RHP Tanner McDougal (Tier 5)
9. SS Jacob Gonzalez (Tier 5)
10. RHP Jairo Iriarte (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP Grant Taylor

After an impressive run in the 2022 Cape Cod League, Taylor missed his entire 2023 draft season at LSU recovering from Tommy John surgery, but the White Sox still saw enough upside to take him in the second round. He pitched just 19.1 innings last year, but he logged a 1.01 ERA with 37 strikeouts in 26.2 innings at Double-A to open the 2025 season before making his MLB debut out of the White Sox bullpen on June 10.

8. OF Griffin Burkholder (Tier 5)
9. OF Dante Nori (Tier 5)
10. 3B Otto Kemp (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: OF Justin Crawford

Crawford is making a strong case to be the next high-profile prospect promoted to the majors, hitting .344/.411/.439 with 16 extra-base hits and 23 steals in 54 games at Triple-A. The son of former MLB All-Star Carl Crawford, he has the tools to be a table-setter offensively and a standout defender in center field.

7. Boston Red Sox

8. SS Dorian Soto (Tier 5)
9. RHP Luis Perales (Tier 5)
10. LHP Connelly Early (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: LHP Payton Tolle and LHP Brandon Clarke

The Red Sox have not had the best luck developing pitching talent over the past decade-plus, but they appear to have hit on Tolle (No. 50 overall) and Clarke (No. 148 overall) in the 2024 draft. The former has a 3.92 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 43.2 innings at High-A, while the latter has shut down hitters to the tune of a 1.88 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 38 strikeouts in 24 innings between Single-A and High-A.

A lanky 6'5", 165-pound southpaw, Hill was taken in the second round of the 2024 draft and sent to Single-A for his pro debut this year. The 19-year-old still has a way to go with his physical development, but the early returns have been extremely promising with a 1.65 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 43 strikeouts in 27.1 innings while limiting opposing hitters to a .128 average.

8. 2B Hao-Yu Lee (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: C/1B Josue Briceño

Briceño gave his prospect stock a major shot in the arm when he won 2024 Arizona Fall League MVP honors, hitting .433/.509/.867 with 10 home runs in 25 games, and he has backed it up with a terrific start this year at High-A. The 20-year-old has a 1.001 OPS with 13 home runs and 41 RBI in 41 games, though he has split his time between catcher (14 G), first base (16 G) and designated hitter (11 G), and his long-term value will depend on whether he can stick behind the plate.

8. 1B/3B Mike Boeve (Tier 4)
9. 1B/OF Tyler Black (Tier 5)
10. OF Braylon Payne (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP Jacob Misiorowski

Armed with arguably the most electric fastball-slider pairing of any pitching prospect in baseball, Misiorowski has always been able to miss bats, but his command has always been a question mark. He walked 60 batters in 97.1 innings last year, but he has trimmed his walk rate from 14.4 to 12.3 percent this season. The 23-year-old tossed five no-hit innings in his MLB debut on June 12, tallying four walks and five strikeouts.

9. SS Emil Morales (Tier 4)
10. SS Joendry Vargas (Tier 5)

Prospect Snapshot: OF Zyhir Hope

A prospect on the rise entering the 2024 season thanks to some loud batted-ball metrics and a solid run in the Arizona Fall League, Hope has emerged as a legitimate top-tier prospect this year at High-A Great Lakes. The 20-year-old is hitting .306/.409/.493 with 25 extra-base hits in 258 plate appearances, and he does not turn 21 years old until next January.

10. RHP Trevor Harrison (Tier 4)

Prospect Snapshot: RHP Santiago Suarez

The Rays acquired Suarez in the four-player deal that sent Xavier Edwards to the Marlins prior to the 2023 season, and he emerged as one of the team's top pitching prospects last year when he logged a 4.11 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 115 strikeouts over a career-high 111.2 innings. The 20-year-old had a 1.78 ERA in 25.1 innings at High-A before landing on the injured list in early May.

7. SS Felnin Celesten (Tier 3)
8. RHP Ryan Sloan (Tier 4)
9. SHP Jurrangelo Cijntje (Tier 4)
10. RHP Logan Evans (Tier 4)

Prospect Snapshot: SHP Jurrangelo Cijntje

A true switch-pitcher who was taken No. 15 overall in last year's draft out of Mississippi State, Cijntje is still working to find the right way to utilize his unique skill set. He has been pitching primarily as a right-handed starter while sprinkling in left-on-left at-bats when the situation calls for it of late, and he has a 4.67 ERA with 48 strikeouts in 44.1 innings at High-A. His season will be more about exploring the best way to utilize his talents than surface-level stats, but he is missing bats at a promising rate.
