NFL Insider Eyes Breece Hall Trade by Deadline if Jets Out of Playoff Race amid Rumors
The New York Jets may look to cash in on running back Breece Hall if they're a playoff outsider when the 2025 NFL trade deadline rolls around, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.
"The Jets want to be a run-oriented offense, so it wouldn't have made sense to trade their most accomplished back," Cimini wrote Sunday. "It could be a different story around the mid-season trading deadline. If they fall out of contention, Hall will be a prime candidate to be dealt."
The Jets insider added that head coach Aaron Glenn "likes" backup running backs Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis. Perhaps one could emerge as a suitable candidate to succeed Hall as the primary ball-carrier.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"I'm excited about all three of those guys, I really am," Glenn said. "I don't know if there are three backs in this league that have the potential like these three."
Hall's contract is the biggest reason why some doubt remains regarding his long-term future. He's due to be a free agent and there are a lot of variables to consider when examining both his value and New York's level of commitment.
The 24-year-old has yet to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards in a season, and his yards per carry have declined in each of the last two seasons.
Neither Glenn nor general manager Darren Mougey was responsible for picking Hall in the 2022 NFL draft, either, so they may not feel too wedded to the running back.
If the Jets are trending toward another losing season and the right offer emerges, then trading Hall could be the right move over franchise-tagging him or signing him to a multiyear contract next spring.
