Caitlin Clark 'Ready to Roll' in Return from Quad Injury for Fever vs. Liberty
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is "ready to roll" ahead of Saturday's game against the New York Liberty.
The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year has missed her team's last five games with a quad injury. Her return couldn't be better timed as the Liberty are off to a 9-0 start in pursuit of a second straight championship.

Earlier in the week, it looked like Clark would be unlikely to suit up against New York. Fever head coach Stephanie White said Monday she hadn't yet been cleared for five-on-five action:
The Fever are 4-5 and seventh in the WNBA standings. They've gone 2-3 without their best player in the lineup, most recently losing to the Atlanta Dream by 19 points on Tuesday night.
In her four appearances so far, Clark is averaging 19 points on 40.3 percent shooting along with 6.0 rebounds and 9.3 assists. She's pretty much picking up from where she left off as a rookie in 2024.
In addition to having Clark available, White told reporters she's expecting to get Sophie Cunningham back after a three-game absence:
Indiana is ahead of where it was at this point last year. A 1-8 start had a lot of people reaching for the panic button.
And despite their losing record, the Fever are only two games back of the third-place Dream. With Clark in the lineup, they should start to consolidate their position in the WNBA playoff race.
