Walker Buehler Says He's 'Been F--king Embarrassing' for Red Sox amid 2025 Struggles
Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Walker Buehler was open about his struggles to begin the 2025 season.
“This organization put a lot of faith in me this offseason and I’ve been f--king embarrassing for us," Buehler said, per MassLive.com's Christopher Smith.
The 30-year-old owns a 4-4 record in 10 starts with Boston this season, recording a 5.18 ERA and 1.44 WHIP while allowing opposing batters to hit .277 against him.

Buehler gave up seven hits and five earned runs in just two innings as the Red Sox suffered a 9-6 defeat at the hands of the New York Yankees on Friday.
The two-time All-Star missed the entire 2023 season while recovering from his second Tommy John surgery and compiled a 5.38 ERA with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024, but stepped up late in the team's ensuing postseason run that culminated in a World Series title.
Buehler went on to sign a one-year contract worth $21.05 million with Boston as a free agent in Dec. 2024.
Both Buehler and the Red Sox will look to improve as the season continues, as they currently sit at No. 4 in the American League East standings with a 30-35 record.
