
Kierston Russell, Twin Sister of 5-Star Alabama QB Keelon Russell, Dies at 18
The twin sister of Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell died Wednesday.
Capt. Jack Kennedy of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office confirmed the identity of Kierston Russell, 18, with the permission of her family.
"The investigation is ongoing pursuant to the procedures mentioned above, and at this time appears to be non-criminal in nature," he said, per the Tuscaloosa News' Colin Gay. "Therefore, at this time no other information will be released."

Keelon and Kierston Russell both attended Duncanville High School in Texas. Keelon enrolled at Alabama in the spring, and ESPN's Chris Low said Kierston was due to attend the school starting with the fall semester.
Keelon, a 5-star recruit, was the No. 2 overall player in 247Sports' composite rankings for 2025. He's competing with Ty Simpson and Austin Mack for the starting job ahead of the 2025 season.
