The United States Women's National Team secured a victory over China on Saturday, winning by the final score of 3-0 at Allianz Field in Minnesota.

The USWNT cruised to the final result despite a relatively slow start, taking a 2-0 lead at halftime before a goal from Lindsey Heaps helped her team gain more separation.

Head coach Emma Hayes' squad took care of the ball early, but couldn't find many opportunities on goal until Catarina Macario opened the scoring during a frenetic sequence.

Michelle Cooper sent a low cross towards Alyssa Thompson, who couldn't score but was able to keep the possession alive before Macario tapped the ball in.

Less than 10 minutes later, Macario found Sam Coffey for the second goal of the match following a slick feed from Thompson.

Next was Heaps, as the U.S. captain scored a header off another cross from Cooper early in the second half.

Fans were impressed with the win as well as the individual performances from Heaps and Macario.

The USWNT looked sharp throughout the match, holding 70 percent of possession.

The Americans also racked up 18 shot attempts to go along with seven shots on goal. Meanwhile, China committed 10 fouls and was only able to muster two shots on goal.

Saturday's contest was the first of five matches that the USWNT will play during the summer while preparing for qualifying for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

The U.S. will be back in action against Jamaica on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on TNT and Max.
