Phillies' Bryce Harper Says He's Day-to-Day with Elbow Injury After Being Hit By Pitch
The Philadelphia Phillies appear to have avoided the worst with slugger Bryce Harper.
Paul Casella of MLB.com reported that Harper doesn't believe he is heading to the injured list but that he is "super day-to-day" as he recovers from an elbow injury he suffered when he was hit by a pitch.

Harper suffered the injury on Tuesday and has not played since. Casella reported that the first baseman has not taken a swing since the injury and "likely won't do so" on Friday.
He suffered the injury in the first inning of Tuesday's game and his X-Rays were negative. He was eventually diagnosed with an elbow contusion.
Harper is hitting .267/.375/.450 with eight home runs and 33 RBIs in 54 games for the Phillies. His production has helped the Phillies get out to a 36-20 start to the season as they look to reclaim the NL East crown.
While the team should not feel Harper's absence for too long, it still puts a hole in their lineup as they look to maintain a lead over the New York Mets. In his absence, Alec Bohm has shifted to first base while Edmundo Sosa has shifted to third base.
