"We expect him to have a huge season," Campbell told reporters. "We really do, man. He’s going to be one of these guys that we’re going to lean on this year and is really going to be big for us."
The 24-year-old played in 15 games in the 2024 season and had 58 catches for 1,001 yards and seven touchdowns. These marks were all career highs and he truly showed his ability to be an excellent option alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown in the wide receiver room.
Detroit elected to pick up Williams' fifth-year option so he will continue to get opportunities to develop. His 2024 season was promising but reaching a new level could make new offensive coordinator John Morton's job a bit easier as he seeks to fill the big shoes of former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.
