Lane Kiffin Jokes 'Money' is Key to Recruiting, Georgia 'Outpays Everybody' on Video

Ole Miss football head coach Lane Kiffin joked that money and NIL are the keys to recruiting and that Georgia "outpays everybody" en route to its own success on that front.

Kiffin made his remarks to content creator James Bordeaux, whose interviews with college football coaches on the matter were part of a video regarding him getting into the College Football 26 cover shoot.

During his remarks, Kiffin gestured to Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, who was in the other portion of the locker room he and other coaches were in during the interview.

As for Smart, his answer was that relationships and authenticity were the keys to recruiting.

Per 247Sports, Georgia landed the second-best recruiting class in the nation in 2025. That followed a No. 1 ranking in 2024, No. 2 in 2023, No. 3 in 2022, No. 4 in 2021 and No. 1 in 2020 this decade.

So Smart is obviously doing something right. As for Kiffin, he's brought some good classes to Oxford himself, and his team notably crushed the Bulldogs 28-10 last year.

Both teams look good on paper leading into the 2025 season, and they'll face off in a crucial battle on Oct. 18 in Athens.
