Giants' Russell Wilson Takes Most of 1st-Team Reps Over Jaxson Dart, Jameis Winston
Russell Wilson took most of the New York Giants' first-team reps at organized team activities on Wednesday, per ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
The Giants have completely remade their quarterback room after parting ways with Daniel Jones midway through last season.
Big Blue added the two veterans in Wilson and Winston before picking up Dart with the No. 25 overall selection in the 2025 draft.

So the Giants have a stopgap plan for now before Dart takes the reins at an undetermined time in the future.
It's no surprise, then, that Wilson is QB1 at the moment. The 10-time Pro Bowler is a long-time starter with the biggest history of success in the QB room right now, although Winston is a great backup option in his own right, as noted by his brief success with the Cleveland Browns last year (including an upset win over the Baltimore Ravens and a 497-yard performance versus the Denver Broncos).
In addition, it makes sense for the Giants to hand the reins to the most experienced quarterback of the group in part because of the team's brutal schedule, especially to start the year.
New York begins the season on the road against two division rivals (the Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys) before going home to face the defending AFC champions (Kansas City Chiefs) and an AFC playoff participant on the rise (the Los Angeles Chargers).
There's still plenty of offseason left before anyone is officially anointed as the Giants' starting quarterback for the 2025 campaign, but as of now, all signs are pointing to that being Wilson, as expected.
