Travis Hunter Is 'Doing Extra Every Day' to Learn Offense and Defense, Jaguars DC Says
Travis Hunter has been getting offensive and defensive reps during the Jacksonville Jaguars' offseason workouts, which is certainly a lot of work for anyone, let alone a rookie.
But he's getting great reviews so far, with defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile shouting him out during a chat with reporters (h/t Jayna Bardahl of The Athletic) and noting that he's "doing extra every day."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value ๐
โI think heโs pretty good,โ Campanile said before laughing. โFired up to have him out there, and he did a very good job getting out there.
โHeโs doing extra every day, so I have a ton of respect for everything that heโs done to this point.โ
Hunter starred at Jackson State and Colorado during his four years in college, winning the Heisman Trophy in his last season (2024). The Jags then traded up from No. 5 to No. 2 with the Cleveland Browns to select Hunter.
Last season, Hunter made 96 catches for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding four interceptions, 11 pass breakups and 36 tackles.
Obviously, Hunter's two-way talent is tantalizing enough for the Jags to put him to work on both sides of the ball. Hunter seems to be up for the task of learning the Jags' way on offense and defense so far, and OC Grant Udinski also praised his efforts so far.
โYouโre definitely going for maximum efficiency,โ Udinski said, per Bardahl. โItโs a unique challenge, but itโs a fun challenge, an exciting challenge and heโs the type of guy, because of that passion and love for the game, the guy that can do it.
โItโs definitely different compared to the rest of the guys and his schedule, but itโs a unique skill set, itโs a unique person and a unique player, so thatโs been fun as well.โ
It's a new era in Jacksonville as the team is run under new leadership in general manager James Gladstone and head coach Liam Coen, and Hunter is a key face of the franchise's new chapter as the Jags, who were 4-13 last year, hope for better days.
The team is only going through offseason workouts so far, but Hunter is acing his tests as the Jags surge forward into a new era.
