Alabama's Ryan Williams Working Out with Eagles' DeVonta Smith Before 2025 CFB Season

Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams has been working out with Philadelphia Eagles wideout DeVonta Smith as he prepares for his sophomore season on the Crimson Tide.

Smith spent all four years of his college career at Alabama, earning 2020 Heisman Trophy honors after racking up 1,856 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns in 13 games.

He's developed into a steady option in Philadelphia's passing attack, recording 4,011 yards through his first four seasons in the NFL. He also caught four passes for 69 yards and a score during the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Williams will be looking to make a similar impact with the Tide as Smith once did, as the 18-year-old wrapped up a stellar freshman season in 2024.

In 13 games, he recorded 48 catches for 865 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging 18.0 yards per reception.

As Alabama looks to build upon a 9-4 finish in its first season under head coach Kalen DeBoer, fans should be encouraged that Williams is putting in work with one of the top receivers in school history.
