Florida Panthers 6, Toronto Maple Leafs 1

Both teams were scoreless after the first period, but Florida was aggressive early. Through the first six minutes, the Panthers racked up 20 shot attempts while the Maple Leafs didn't record one.

William Nylander had a chance to put Toronto up early, but Sergei Bobrovsky squeezed his arm to stop a shot attempt and keep the score tied 0-0.

The intense atmosphere extended beyond the players, as referee Chris Rooney was forced to leave the game after he was accidentally struck by a high stick.

Seth Jones finally opened the scoring in the second period, beating Joseph Woll to the far side and finding the back of the net off a pass from Evan Rodrigues.

Less than five minutes later, Florida went up 2-0 after Woll couldn't control a rebound following a save before Anton Lundell made Toronto pay.

The Panthers' fourth line struck once again, as Jonah Gadjovich scored to give them a commanding 3-0 lead in the period.

Maple Leafs fans weren't pleased with the team's performance, especially after they initially took a 2-0 series edge over Florida.

Max Domi gave the crowd some hope to open the third period, making the Panthers pay for a late line change and cutting the deficit to 3-1.

The excitement didn't last long, though.

Less than a minute of game time later, a redirection from Eetu Luostarinen put Florida back up by three goals.

Toronto couldn't close the gap again, as Sam Reinhart scored off a face-off and Brad Marchand later recorded an empty net goal to give the Panthers a 6-1 win.

The Panthers will now prepare for the Hurricanes, while the Maple Leafs are still searching for their first conference final appearance since 2002.
