Walker Buehler Expected to Return From Shoulder Injury for Red Sox vs. Mets on Tuesday
Red Sox right-hander Walker Buehler is expected to return from a shoulder injury and will join the roster to start against the New York Mets on Tuesday, per the Associated Press.
Buehler was assigned to the 15-day injured list on May 2 with bursitis in his pitching shoulder and has been cleared to return after taking his time with rehab.
"I don't think if it was late in the year that we would necessarily have done the exact same things," Buehler told reporters ahead of Boston's game on Saturday against the Atlanta Braves at Fenway Park. "But just too early in the year to kind of try and push it."
