Angel Reese Talks Caitlin Clark's Flagrant Foul, Says 'Refs Got it Right' in Fever-Sky
Angel Reese was not interested in elaborating on Caitlin Clark's flagrant foul.
The Chicago Sky forward was on the receiving end of a flagrant from the Indiana Fever forward in the Sky's 93-58 loss to Indiana in the season opener on Saturday. After the game, Reese had a quick statement about how it was the correct call and that she wants to move on from the situation.
"Basketball play," Reese said. "Refs got it right. Move on."

Crew chief Roy Gulbeyan also explained why a flagrant 1 was assessed to Clark while speaking with pool reporter Chloe Peterson of the Indianapolis Star after the game:
Reese was fouled on a shot attempt by Clark and quickly rose up to confront the reigning rookie of the year. Fever forward Aliyah Boston quickly got between the two and broke up the tension.
Clark was given a flagrant foul while Reese and Boston received offsetting technicals. Reese finished the day with 12 points, 17 rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes while Clark had 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
Clark and Reese have been rivals since their collegiate careers at Iowa and LSU. That has continued into their professional careers and the Fever got the best of Chicago in their first season.
While Indiana got the win this time, Reese and the Sky will look to bounce back in their next matchup and her words show that she wants to move past this incident.
