Cowboys Have 'Spicy Schedule' to Close Out 2025 NFL Regular Season, Stephen Jones Says
Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones discussed the back half of the team's 2025 schedule.
"We've got a spicy schedule at the end when you you compare it to last year’s playoff teams," Jones said, per ESPN's Todd Archer. "We have a big run there playing a lot of playoff teams. We look forward to that and Schotty’s fired up about the schedule and we’re ready to go."
Dallas will be the first team in NFL history to face six straight opponents that all won at least 11 games the prior year (h/t ESPN's Adam Schefter).

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Cowboys will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Chargers and Washington Commanders from Week 12 through Week 17 of their 2025 campaign.
Dallas owns the fifth-hardest strength of schedule in the NFL based on the 2024 winning percentage of each of its upcoming opponents, via Fox Sports.
While four combined matchups against NFC East rivals that experienced immense success last year including the Commanders and Eagles are partly responsible for the difficult schedule, the Cowboys are also set to face a Chiefs team that has made Super Bowl appearances in five of the past six seasons and a Lions squad that's coming off a 15-2 finish in the 2024 regular season.
Under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer, Dallas is looking to bounce back from a disappointing 7-10 record.
The Cowboys will be hoping for better health, as their 2024 season was heavily impacted by injuries to key players on both sides of the ball. Dak Prescott headlined the list of contributors to miss time, making just eight starts before undergoing season-ending hamstring surgery.
Dallas has focused on building its offense around Prescott and CeeDee Lamb in the offseason, selecting Alabama guard Tyler Booker with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft and acquiring wideout George Pickens in a blockbuster trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Cowboys are attempting to return to the playoffs and will need to close out the regular season on a high note in order to do so.
