Though it wasn't an elimination game, the Game 5 matchup between the Panthers and Maple Leafs was one of the most important of the series.
Florida got the memo and got things going early. Aaron Ekblad scored with just over six minutes to play in the first to break the seal on offense.
After getting the first goal, there was no turning back for the Panthers.
Florida added three goals in the second period from Dmitry Kulikov, Jesper Boqvist and Niko Mikkola.
Even with a 4-0 lead, the Panthers didn't take their foot off the gas in the third period.
A.J. Greer made it 5-0 early in the period before Sam Bennett added the sixth goal for Florida.
Toronto's struggles led to plenty of frustration from Leafs fans.
The Maple Leafs eventually got on the board in the final minutes of the third, but it was far too late to spark a comeback.
The series is far from over, but there's no denying that the momentum now lies with the Panthers heading into Game 6.
Edmonton Oilers 1, Las Vegas Golden Knights 0

There wasn't much offense to be found in Wednesday's Game 5, to say the least.
While the scoring was few and far between, there were some extracurriculars in the first period, continuing what has been a chippy series thus far.
But the lack of scoring wasn't from a lack of good looks. The Oilers had two power plays and the Golden Knights had one in regulation. Edmonton got off 22 shots in regulation while Edmonton had 22. Both teams had two extremely close calls in the third period.
After three scoreless periods, Edmonton finally found the net. Kasperi Kapanen, who made his first appearance of the postseason in Game 4, gave the Oilers the win and the series.
It wasn't the prettiest offensive performance for Edmonton, but it had just enough to get the win and close out the series. Now the Oilers are heading Western Conference Finals for the second consecutive season.
