New York Yankees third baseman Oswaldo Cabrera left Mondayโs game against the Seattle Mariners in an ambulance after suffering an apparent ankle injury.
The injury occurred as Cabrera was running home to score on an Aaron Judge sacrifice fly. He appeared to injure his ankle while trying to touch home plate, registering the team's 11th run of the game.
Trainers quickly attended to him, placing a towel over his ankle before he was transported for further evaluation.

The injury happened at the top of the ninth inning as the Yankees led 10-5, with Cabreraโs run pushing the score to 11-5โwhere it would stay as the final result.
Cabrera finished the night with one run and one hit, holding a .243 average. Trent Grisham led the way offensively with two runs, three hits, two RBI and two home runs, while Aaron Judge added one RBI and two hits.
The Yankees improved to 23-17 with the win, maintaining their lead atop the AL East after taking a 2-1 series over the Athletics.
Monday's matchup against the Seattle Mariners marked Game 1 of the three-game series in Seattle. Game 2 is scheduled for Tuesday.
