The back-and-forth of the Western Conference second-round series between the Dallas Stars and Winnipeg Jets continued on Sunday.

Dallas took Game 3 on home ice from the Presidents' Trophy winner behind a three-goal outburst in the third period.

Mikko Rantanen was once again in the middle of Dallas' scoring with a goal and an assist. Wyatt Johnston and Roope Hintz also scored for the Stars.

The Florida Panthers produced the second home win on Sunday night with a shutout victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Florida's win leveled the series at two games apiece ahead of the return to Toronto for Game 5.

Winnipeg Jets v Dallas Stars - Game Three

Dallas benefited from a three-goal third period to take a 2-1 series lead over Winnipeg.

Alexander Petrovic scored the game-winning goal just under four minutes into the third period off an assist from Mikko Rantanen.

Rantanen once again made his presence known in a postseason game with the tally that extended Dallas' lead to two goals.

Rantanen also played a role in Dallas' opening goal, scored by Roope Hintz on the power play.

Winnipeg answered Hintz's goal with a Kyle Connor's fifth tally of the postseason.

Nino Niederreiter scored Winnipeg's only goal, which was also the lone tally of the second period.

However, that was the last goal Winnipeg scored, as Dallas came of the second intermission with three goals.

The Stars and Jets will be back at it on Tuesday in Game 4 in Dallas.

Florida 2, Toronto 0

Toronto Maple Leafs v Florida Panthers - Game Four

The Panthers defended home ice for the second game in a row.

Florida received goals from Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Bennett as well as 22 saves from Sergei Bobrovsky to move level with the Maple Leafs.

Verhaeghe opened the scoring late in the first period on a power-play goal.

Bennett's third-period tally sealed the victory for Florida. The centerman used a brilliant move to elude Joseph Woll and deposit the puck into the net.

Florida peppered the Toronto net all night. Woll finished with 35 saves in the losing effort.

The home team won each of the first four games in the series. The series returns to Toronto for Game 5 on Wednesday.
