Wimbledon 2015: Predictions for Top Singles Stars of Friday's Draw Schedule
It felt like Wimbledon just started, but after a week-and-a-half of tennis, it is just about time for everyone to hang up their white shorts, white shirts and white tennis shoes and for a champion to be crowned.
With the last three winners of Wimbledon in the final four, along with a surprising fourth participant, there is set to be plenty of action in Friday’s draw. Two of the most popular players in recent memory at the All England Club, not to mention the world’s top-ranked player, make it must-see television.
The top two players in the field, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, waltzed through the first five rounds, but from here on out things won't be as easy. Friday has the potential to be the toughest draw for both to this point in the tournament.

Friday's schedule: Novak Djokovic vs. Richard Gasquet 8 a.m. ET; Roger Federer vs. Andy Murray 10:30 a.m. ET
Novak Djokovic vs. Richard Gasquet

Wimbledon was expected to be the crowning of a new member of tennis’ elite with Stan Wawrinka coming off of a big win at the French Open and looking to follow it up with a win in England, but Frenchman Richard Gasquet refused to lose, pulling off the upset.
Instead of having the top four seeds in the semifinals since 1995, Gasquet marches on to his second semifinal at the All England Club looking to win his first Grand Slam championship. But while the No. 21 seed will be riding high coming off of his upset in the quarterfinals, he is about to come up against a buzz saw in Novak Djokovic.
The best player in the world has been brilliant through his first five matches, with four straight-set victories sandwiched around a five-set thriller against Kevin Anderson in the fourth round. He hasn’t been nearly as dominant as Federer, but Djokovic is living up to his No. 1 ranking.
Djokovic is not immune to an upset or two—just look at his match in the French Open against Wawrinka—but while he hasn’t quite reached the same level as Federer or Rafael Nadal at their peak, the Serbian is an all-time great and will want to add another Wimbledon title to his already impressive resume.
The emotions from his comeback win in the quarterfinals could see Gasquet steal a set or two, but Djokovic is too good to let the match slip out of his hands, setting up an epic final between the game's two top players.
Prediction: Djokovic wins, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4
Roger Federer vs. Andy Murray

The longtime king of grass-court tennis, particularly when it came to the pristine greens of Wimbledon, it has been three years since Roger Federer came out on top of his most successful tournament.
A seven-time winner, there has been no shortage of think pieces in the last few years about the inevitable losing battle Federer is waging against time. But after watching the Swiss superstar for the past week-and-a-half, all of those thoughts have gone by the wayside.
Federer is playing his best tennis since 2009 and looks determined to secure his record eighth title at Wimbledon. While his opponent, Great Britain’s own Andy Murray, will have the home-court advantage and is still the No. 3 ranked player in the world, this semifinal feels determined before the players even take the court.
Through his first five matches, Federer has only had his serve broken once this tournament and only lost one set. Murray has been no slouch throughout the tournament, only losing two sets, but he hasn’t looked nearly as dominant as his semifinal opponent in the process:
The two have almost an even record all-time against each other, but Federer leads 4-1 in Grand Slam tournaments and won the only match between the two at Wimbledon, the 2012 final, which is also the last Grand Slam Federer won.
Murray is too good to be swept in straight sets, but Federer is on a roll and shouldn’t struggle getting through to the final.
Prediction: Federer wins, 6-4, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4
