Miami Hurricanes linebacker Adarius Hayes was one of multiple people who suffered an injury in a car crash that killed two children in Largo, Florida on Saturday.
A Largo Police Department spokesperson confirmed to ESPN's Mark Schlabach that Hayes suffered an injury but did not reveal whether he was driving one of the two cars involved in the crash.
Police also said alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash that occurred around 1:45 p.m. ET Saturday.

Schlabach noted the crash killed a 10-year-old and four-year-old child and left "several other people" in the hospital because of "serious injuries."
Largo Police Department public information officer Megan Santo released a statement that said, "This is an ongoing and active investigation, and no further information is available for release at this time."
Hayes was a 4-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings, and appeared in 11 games for Miami during his freshman campaign in 2024.
He finished with four tackles and one interception and was largely a special-teams contributor.
