Boston Celtics v New York Knicks - Game Three

The Knicks may have started out the series with two 20-point comeback wins in Boston, but the Celtics were able to hold off a third straight New York rally with a dominant shooting performance in Game 3.

Payton Pritchard capped off a strong first quarter for the reigning NBA champions with a buzzer-beating shot that put the Celtics ahead by 16 points.

The Celtics' defense clamped down on the Knicks in the second quarter to help the visitors extend their lead to 26 points by halftime.

Brunson led the Knicks with 27 points, but the Celtics forced him to commit four turnovers in the loss.

Jayson Tatum, Derrick White, Al Horford and Jaylen Brown all contributed at least 15 points to the win, while Pritchard led the team with 23 points off the bench.

The Celtics overall went 20-for-40 from deep. Jayson Tatum went 5-for-9 from behind the arc, while Pritchard contributed five three-pointers on 10 attempts.

The Celtics will now get the chance to even the series at 2-2 when both teams return to Madison Square Garden for Monday night's Game 4 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Timberwolves 102, Warriors 97

Minnesota Timberwolves v Golden State Warriors - Game Three

It took a 36-spot from Anthony Edwards to overcome Playoff Jimmy.

With Stephen Curry sidelined by a hamstring injury, the Warriors didn't hit a single three-pointer for the entirety of the first half.

The home team still went into the break leading the Timberwolves by two points thanks in large part to Jimmy Butler III and Jonathan Kuminga.

That's when Edwards stepped up.

Edwards put up 28 points in the second half to help the Timberwolves storm back into the lead.

Edwards finished the game with 36 total points, shooting 13-for-28 from the field and 5-for-14 from deep in 44 minutes on the court.

Kuminga put up a playoff career-high 30 points off the bench in the loss, while Butler led the Warriors with 33 points.

But Draymond Green was held to two points on 1-for-4 shooting, and the Warriors were unable to find the depth to cover for Curry's absence in the clutch.

The Warriors will need to regroup before they meet Edwards again on Monday in San Francisco. Game 4 is set to tip off at Chase Center at 10 p.m. ET.
