Magic Take 3-1 Series Lead on Pistons as Fans Call Out Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren

The Orlando Magic took a commanding 3-1 series lead over Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons with a 94-88 win at home on Monday.

Cunningham finished with 25 points but struggled from the field, shooting 7-of-23 while committing eight turnovers. Jalen Duren added 12 points and four turnovers as the No. 1 seed continued to face criticism for its lack of postseason production.

Tobias Harris added 20 points and six rebounds, going 0-of-5 from beyond the arc, while Duncan Robinson added seven points but struggled in his specialty, shooting 1-of-6 from deep.

Four of five Orlando Magic starters reached double figures, led by Desmond Bane with 22 points. Franz Wagner added 19, Wendell Carter Jr. chipped in a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Paolo Banchero rounded out the group with 18 points.

The Orlando Magic have reached the postseason in the last two years but have yet to advance past the first round. Now, holding a promising 3-1 lead over the top-seeded Detroit Pistons, they're in position to finally break through.

The winner of the Detroit Pistons-Orlando Magic series will punch a ticket to the Eastern Conference semifinals to take on the winner of the No. 4 Cleveland Cavaliers vs. No. 5 Toronto Raptors matchup, with that series deadlocked at 2-2.

Game 5 between Detroit and Orlando heads back to Detroit on Wednesday.
