Giants' Cam Skattebo Says He's 'Proved Nothing' Ahead of NFL Rookie Season
New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo said he has "proved nothing" as he prepares for his rookie NFL season.
"How many snaps in the NFL have you seen me play? Zero. I've proved nothing," Skattebo told reporters when asked about the chip on his shoulder and how he proved he can do more.

To Skattebo, what he accomplished in college is not reflective of his new journey in the NFL.
"I've proved what I am in college, but I've proved nothing at this level. So now, where I'm at, I have to prove myself," Skattebo continued. "If that's for five years or if that's for 10 years, I'm gonna continue to prove myself. The best do it for the longest. So, I'll continue to do that and just work my butt off until the time comes."
Skattebo slipped into the fourth round of the draft, where he was the eighth running back selected.
The Arizona State University alum finished last season second in college football with 1,711 rushing yards and was tied for sixth with 21 rushing touchdowns. He finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting.
Skattebo will join projected first- and second-string running backs Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary in the running back room as the Giants look to bounce back from a 3-14 finish—tied for last in the league—with the addition of veteran quarterback Russell Wilson at the helm.
