Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, Timothée Chalamet's Reasons for Missing Met Gala Revealed
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and global pop star Taylor Swift did not attend the Met Gala in New York City on Monday night because their schedules reportedly wouldn't allow it.
According to TMZ Sports, Kelce and Swift were invited to the event, but scheduling conflicts prevented them from attending.
As for actor Timothée Chalamet, his absence was sports related, as he was busy watching his New York Knicks upset the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of their second-round NBA playoff series, per TMZ Sports.

While Kelce has never before attended the Met Gala, Swift has, although it has been nearly a decade since her last appearance at the event back in 2016.
Kelce and Swift are among the most famous couples in the United States, but they haven't been spotted together publicly since going to dinner in New York City back in March, according to TMZ.
Kelce and the Chiefs fell short of becoming the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls, as they were blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX to close out the 2024 season.
There was some question regarding whether the 35-year-old Kelce would retire, but the future Pro Football Hall of Famer committed to returning for a 13th NFL season in 2025.
Like Kelce and Swift, Chalamet and Kylie Jenner are a famous couple, but Kylie was on her own at the Met Gala.
Chalamet is a hugely successful actor, having starred in major motion pictures such as Dune, Wonka and A Complete Unknown.
Despite his stardom, Chalamet is quite relatable due to his sports fandom. It was on full display last year when he appeared on ESPN College GameDay and surprised many with his college football knowledge.
Chalamet, who is from New York City, is most notably a Knicks fan, making Monday a dramatic and memorable night for him.
On his Instagram Stories, Chalamet posted a photo of a tablet with the Knicks vs. Celtics game on it. He also posted, "S--tting myself, this game is insane," and "Shaking, what a win."
At one point, the Knicks trailed the reigning NBA champion Celtics by as many as 20 points, but they roared back to force overtime, and New York went on to pull off a 108-105 upset.
The second-seeded Celtics entered the series as huge favorites to knock off the third-seeded Knicks, but New York is currently in control and has a chance to go up 2-0 with a Game 2 win on Wednesday night.
