Reds' Tyler Callihan Suffers Broken Arm Injury on Catch Attempt vs. Braves
Cincinnati Reds left field rookie Tyler Callihan suffered a broken left forearm during the team's 4-0 road loss the Atlanta Braves on Monday, per ESPN.
The left fielder attempted a sliding catch on a fly ball from Matt Olson, briefly securing it before colliding with the wall in foul territory. The impact jarred the ball loose, resulting in an infield home run, and Calligan appeared visibly in pain after the play, grabbing his left arm.

Braves’ Austin Riley scored from first base as Olson slowly circled the bases, unsure whether the play had been ruled foul or if the ball had been caught.
Reds manager Terry Francona provided an update on the young star following the game.
"They've got him splinted back in the clubhouse. Sending him back to Cincinnati in the morning and line up a surgery," Francona told reporters. "He's such a good kid. You feel terrible for him."
Callihan, who made his debut last week, was playing in just his fourth game of the season for the 18-18 Reds when the injury occurred.
