Shedeur Sanders NFL Draft Prank Call Reportedly Wasn't Related to Warren, McCord Calls
The Friday prank call to Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders was not connected to other calls made to prospects waiting to hear their names called during the 2025 NFL draft, according to Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press.
The Atlanta Falcons said Sunday that Jax Ulbrich, son of Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, was connected with the prank call to Sanders.
The NFL is "investigating" the other prank calls, according to Maaddi.

Indianapolis Colts selection Tyler Warren and Philadelphia Eagles draft pick Kyle McCord both said they received prank calls during the 2025 NFL draft.
ESPN's Stephen Holder reported that there are "believed to be others" who received prank calls during the draft.
Offensive tackle Chase Lundt, who was drafted Buffalo Bills in the sixth round, told reporters he received "four or five" prank calls before the real message came through.
Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz wrote Sunday that Warren, who was drafted at No. 14, received a prank call while the New York Jets were on the clock with the No. 7 pick.
According to Schultz, Warren's representatives believed the call came from "the same number and/or area code" that had called Sanders.
No. 181 pick McCord, meanwhile, said when speaking to reporters after the draft that he had received "a few prank calls earlier in the day from 609 numbers and 215 numbers."
The prank call received by Sanders, during which the caller imitated New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis, was caught on his draft livestream during Day 2 of the draft.
The Athletic's David Ubben reported the Sanders was using a phone purchased one day earlier, the contact information of which was provided only to NFL teams.
The Falcons said in their statement that Ulbrich's 21-year-old son "unintentionally came across the draft contact number for Shedeur Sanders off an open iPad while visiting his parent's home and wrote the number down to later conduct a prank call."
"Jeff Ulbrich was unaware of the data exposure or any facets of the prank and was made aware of the above only after the fact," the Falcons wrote.
According to Maaddi, the NFL "only provided teams phone numbers for the players who attended the draft in Green Bay or were participating in virtual interviews with NFL Network and ESPN."
