Jayson Tatum Thrills NBA Fans as Celtics Beat Magic in Game 4 to Take 3-1 Series Lead
After stumbling in Game 3 against the Orlando Magic, the Boston Celtics responded with a 107-98 win in Game 4 of the first-round series on Sunday.
The win made it a 3-1 series lead for the Celtics.
It was far from a dominant showing for Boston as Orlando's physical defense helped it stay in the game until the final moments. It was a two-point game heading into the final minutes, but the Celtics used a 10-1 run to create enough separation to walk away with the win.
Star Jayson Tatum, who missed Game 2 because of a wrist injury, led the way for Boston with 37 points and 14 boards, coming to life for a handful of clutch buckets to help put the game away.
It took more than just Tatum in the win, though. Jaylen Brown had 21 points and 11 rebounds, Kristaps Porziņģis added 19 and Derrick White put up 18.
Magic stars Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner carried the weight for Orlando, combining for 55 points, but there was little offense to be found elsewhere in the loss.
After the win, fans hyped Tatum and the Celtics.
After Sunday's win, Boston now has the chance to close out the series on its home court on Tuesday. While the Celtics didn't get the sweep, they can still end the series early and get some much-needed rest before taking on the winner of the series between the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks.
